Attorney General Lisa Madigan stands with Aurora Police Chief William Powell, left, and Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner during the city's Department of Youth and Sports Activities 9 th Annual Police Luncheon. Eight Aurora police officers were recognized for their work in keeping drugs off the streets. Madigan was the guest speaker during the luncheon and later was honored for her office's efforts to fight the spread of illegal drugs.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan participates in a four-person panel discussion sponsored by the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) in Chicago. This was the sixth stop on the group's ten city "Public Dialogue Tour," a nationwide series of events that will inform forthcoming CAQ recommendations on modernizing public company reporting for the benefit of U.S. financial markets. Joining Madigan were, from left, moderator Terry Smith, special correspondent for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, David Ruder, dean of Northwestern University Law School, and former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Edward Liddy, Chairman of the Allstate Corporation, and Charlie Bobrinskoy, vice chairman & director of research, Ariel Capital Management.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan speaks to parents at Hadley Junior High School in Glen Ellyn prior to the start of an Internet Safety presentation by her office's High Tech Crimes Bureau. The bureau spearheads the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) program and conducts trainings for law enforcement, educators, parents and children throughout Illinois. The event was sponsored by Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education, District 41 Administration, District 41 PTA Council and the Glen Ellyn Education Association.
