Attorney General Lisa Madigan stands with Jim Triner, executive director of the Midwest Environmental Enforcement Association (MEEA) during the group's four-day fall conference in Chicago. Following Madigan's remarks to the group, Triner presented her with a plaque recognizing her office's continued support and commitment to MEEA's training mission and goals. MEEA was formed in 1982 in response to the need for greater cooperation among regulators, attorneys and investigators for more effective environmental enforcement and is one of four regional environmental enforcement associations nationwide. |

8/22/2007 Attorney General Madigan Offers New Internet Safety Initiative as Students Head Back to School |

Attorney General Lisa Madigan today announced a back-to-school collaborative initiative designed to reinforce the fundamentals of Internet safety. Madigan was joined by representatives from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Illinois Retail Merchants Association (IRMA), Microsoft, Best Buy and the Geek Squad at a Chicago Best Buy store to promote Internet safety education.
