Attorney General Lisa Madigan stands with Jim Triner, executive director of the Midwest Environmental Enforcement Association (MEEA) during the group's four-day fall conference in Chicago. Following Madigan's remarks to the group, Triner presented her with a plaque recognizing her office's continued support and commitment to MEEA's training mission and goals. MEEA was formed in 1982 in response to the need for greater cooperation among regulators, attorneys and investigators for more effective environmental enforcement and is one of four regional environmental enforcement associations nationwide.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan today announced a back-to-school collaborative initiative designed to reinforce the fundamentals of Internet safety. Madigan was joined by representatives from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Illinois Retail Merchants Association (IRMA), Microsoft, Best Buy and the Geek Squad at a Chicago Best Buy store to promote Internet safety education. Madigan’s office donated food to the 4-H during the group’s 11th annual “4-H CAN Make A Difference” food drive. Food collected at the fair will be distributed to Central Illinois food depositories.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan administers the oath of office to 23 recently-hired assistant attorneys general (AAsG) at the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago. There are currently 342 AAsG serving statewide.
