Attorney General Lisa Madigan asks for a show of hands about internet usage during a speech at the City Club of Chicago’s Public Policy Luncheon. Madigan was the guest speaker at the luncheon, where elected officials and prominent state leaders come to speak and use the forums to share their viewpoints on timely and important policy issues.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan calls on a law student asking a question during the latest installment of the “Law and Politics Speaker Series,” a program sponsored by Southern Illinois University School of Law student organizations Law School Democrats and Women’s Law Forum. Madigan spoke about her public service career and how her legal education aids policy development.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan later spoke to attendees to the Downstate Multi-Disciplinary Training Conference on Child Abuse at John A. Logan College. The conference on child abuse is the premier training in Southern Illinois for professionals working with child abuse victims and the goal is to provide high quality, affordable and accessible training for law enforcement, mental health professionals, child advocates and other social service workers who see the effects of child abuse.

 

Attorney General Lisa Madigan stands with Maria Kuriakos Ciesil, former Assistant Chief of Madigan's Criminal Prosecutions and Trials Assistance Bureau. Kuriakos Ciesil joined thirty-one other attorneys who were sworn in as Associate Judges in the Circuit Court of Cook County at an induction ceremony in Chicago.
