Internet Safety Night at New Trier High School |

Attorney General Lisa Madigan Thursday speaks to
parents at New Trier High School’s Northfield Campus prior to the start
of an internet safety presentation delivered by Michael Sullivan,
deputy bureau chief of her High Tech Crimes Bureau. Later, Sullivan
answers a question from a parent to keep their children’s online
activity safe. The event was sponsored by the New
Trier Parent Association’s
(NTPA) Class of 2009. Sullivan is a 27-year veteran of law enforcement
and a leading expert on Internet crime, spearheads the Illinois
Internet Crimes Against Children (I-CAC) program and conducts trainings for
law enforcement, educators, parents and children throughout Illinois.

at the event during which the six officers were recognized as Police
Officers of the Year for their collective efforts to thwart an armed

The one-day training focuses on fundraising for Special Olympics Illinois. Officers who have had successful Torch Run fundraisers in the past will present best practices for those who have never participated before. |

Violence Prevention Authority Summit in Springfield.
Through speakers and panel discussions, the goal of the one-day
summit is to review Illinois’ previous
violence prevention efforts and prioritize future violence prevention
plans. |
