The Methamphetamine Precursor Control Act (MPCA), Senate Bill 273, was signed into law on
November 16, 2005, and will take effect on January 15, 2006.
Proposed by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and sponsored by Rep. John Bradley and Sen. Bill Haine, this new law imposes stricter controls on the display and sale of cold and sinus products containing meth's key ingredient – pseudoephedrine. Click on the links below for more information: |
