Do Not Call Registry

TROUBLE ON THE LINE:
A “DO-NOT-CALL” FRAUD ALERT

Scam artists may use the Do Not Call Registry to take advantage of consumers. Don’t let this happen to you!

DO NOT PAY MONEY to people who say they will put your name or telephone number on the Do Not Call Registry for you, or "pre-register" you, or "check the status" of your registration. There is no charge for this service.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, OR OTHER PRIVATE INFORMATION to people who say they will get your name on the Do Not Call Registry. Only you can sign up for the Do Not Call Registry through your home phone or through the Internet.

STEER CLEAR OF WEBSITES promising to put your name or number on the Do Not Call Registry. These sites are making promises they cannot keep, and collecting information they should not have.

REPORT SCAM ARTISTS to Attorney General Madigan’s Office right away. If anyone asks for your name, phone number, or money, it’s probably a scam. Write down the person’s name, organization, and phone number and report this information to the Office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan:
