Job OpportunitiesAssistant Attorney General - PolicyTitle: Assistant Attorney General / Senior Policy Advisor for Criminal Justice Issues Division: Policy - Springfield Location: Springfield Description: The Policy Division is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Attorney General / Senior Policy Advisor for Criminal Justice Issues. In addition to engaging in civil and criminal litigation, the Attorney General’s Office pursues various policy matters. The Policy Division works on policy initiatives develops and drafts legislation, staffs committees and taskforces, conducts outreach and develops training programs covering diverse issues such as internet safety, campus safety, domestic violence, sexual offender management, and methamphetamine control. Qualifications: Candidates must have excellent research, writing skills and oral presentation skills. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Illinois at the time of application and must have 5-10 years of relevant experience or 5-10 years of criminal justice, government or policy experience.
